Robert William Friedman, age 59, of Somerset NJ, beloved son, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2023, after a history of cardiovascular disease.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Friedman, his brothers, David Friedman and Michael Sabo, and his sisters, Joan Puchalski and Donna Farmer and a host of nieces and nephews.
Those who predeceased him include his father, Jerome Friedman and his sister, Janet Pasteka.
Robert enjoyed running track in high school, and as a graduate of the Architectural Program at NJIT, he also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe as part of NJIT’s student-exchange program. Robert was a talented architect, who was employed at architectural and engineering firms and was later self-employed in the swimming pool industry.
Robert was a fun-loving, spirited soul who enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. His friendliness and easy-going personality will be missed by all who knew him.
His family asks that, if you are so moved, you may make a charitable donation to the American Heart Association in his memory.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones when a celebration of Robert’s life is scheduled.

We also shared a love for sushi and back in 1998 we found a hidden gem called EDO on easton Ave in New Brunswick. We both became good friends with the owner and spent many nights there laughing and eating and drinking Sake' He will be sorely missed.

"Each one teach one", I used what Robert taught me at my current gym, where I'm the goto guy on Robert's skillet, hahahaha, 😂 lol just imagine if you can. Lots more to say later, to sad just now. (His nickname, friends, track; we both ran crosscountry...
