It was o e of the summers in the 80's when I was a but a lad who spent a couple weeks out of each year in Early Branch to visit family. After a fun day of playing hard in the hot sun with cousins who were my age, we retreated to the shade in front of Uncle Hicky and Aunt Mary's house for a water break. Suddenly, the house door flung open and out comes the older cousins, dressed to go out for the evening. Among them was Kenny who was wearing a tank-top and white pants. He walked toward us and stopped to say hi, but all I remember thinking is "who is this cool, clean man." He had the freshest of scents, wearing shades, a mustache, a big smile and an upward gaze. When I grow up, I want to be this man. I will always remember Kenneth Johnson as the freshest cousin. ~Rudolph Johnson III
