I Didn't spend a lot of time around him, but didn't have to know how beautiful of a person he was, we In our community loved him, 2 of my boys grew up in in his back yard pool, He allow all the boys and girls in our community to swim in his back yard pool, when they ask he always said yes, he was good that way. One of the great ones.

I was married to David Morris Smalls for 25 years. We had 3 beautiful children that grew up to be smart, educated and productive citizens. Pop Smalls was a good man. Always polite, respectful and considerate to others. He was a great example for all men and a legacy in the community. He will be missed....Suelyn LaSalle
