Ricky Lee Kern was born in Attala County on January 25, 1956 to the late Ike Triplett and Lucille Kern. Ricky Lee received his education in the Attala County School District. In his early years he worked for Weyerhaeuser and he later begin working at Love's Green House, Bingham Flower Company. He worked at Tyson Foods where he worked for twenty-one years until his untimely death.
Ricky Lee was united in holy matrimony to Willie Alice Fletcher, the love of his life. In this union they were blessed with three children.
Ricky Lee quietly departed this life to abide with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was greeted by his parents, Ike Triplett and Lucille Kern; one grandson, Christian Olive; four sisters, (Nancy Lattimore, Dorothy Cross, Betty Slaughter, Rosie Kern); two brothers, James Terry and Charles Ray.
His life will be forever cherished by his devoted wife, Willie Alice Kern; two son, Audwin (Cynthia) of Richland, MS and Ricky Voshon (Sanchette) of Kosciusko, MS; one daughter, Le'Alice of Petal, MS; eight grandchildren, Rikia, Allyson, Richard, Adairus, Dericka, Derrick Jr., Jackson and Lela; three sisters, Carolyn Kern, Lucy Kern, and Geneva (Melvin) of Kosciusko, MS; two brothers, Johnny of Kosciusko, MS and Jerry of Yazoo, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
