She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Education from Mississippi State University.

Her passion for teaching and tutoring left a lasting legacy in the hundreds of lives she touched as an educator and learning advocate. This role allowed Ora to help young girls blossom into young women who have gone on to become leaders in various fields of society. Ora's faith in Christ was started at Long Branch Missionary Baptist Church in West, MS. Ora was a faithful member as she served in various ministries in the church as the Chair of the Deaconess Ministry as well as a member of Choir.
