Lena Faye Vivians Truss was born February 28, 1954 to the late Mr. JG and Mary Eileen Vivians of Leake County.
She attended school at O.E. Jordan School. Faye began her discipleship with Christ at Pine Grove in Madden at a young age, and joined County Line in Sunrise later on in life. After marrying Terry Truss of the Dossville Community on January 25, 1995, she moved her membership to Delydia Hill M.B. Church. There she remained an active soldier for Christ.
Faye worked hard and continuously during her life span until she reached her retirement age while at Tyson Foods of Carthage. She went home and made a fulltime devotion to her passions-her family and gardening. From early in life, Faye's home was always the center of family gatherings. Her beautiful smile and warm caring spirit made her that special "go to" family member that you could depend on.
She departed this life on April 22, doing what she loved, taking care of family and working in her yard and garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers-Ray Charles, Vernet, and Darnet, and her niece, Glenda.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted daughter, LaSpecial "Dink" Halbert of Louisville, MS, a son, Benjamin "Benjie" Vivians of Lena MS; bonus children, Ollie Terry (Sandra) Truss of Jackson, MS, Diana (Jerry) Matlock of Canton, MS, Josllynn Bush of Vaiden, MS, Ariel Truss and Kasei Truss of Kosciusko, MS; three sisters, Sally Ruth Smith of Carthage, MS, Mary McDougal of Jackson, MS, and Dorothy (Edgar) Berryman of Harmony, MS; two brothers, Carlton Vivians of Moss Point, MS, Adolph (Betty) Vivians of Carthage, MS; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lee of Kosciusko, MS; Margaret (Thomas) Griffin of Dossville, MS: three brother in laws, JC (Cat) Truss of Kosciusko, James (Brittany) Smith of Arkansas; four uncles, Carlton Slaughter of Los Angeles, CA, Frank (Debbie) Vivians of Waterloo, IA, Accie (Debbie) Vivians of Jasper, III and James (Irene) Vivians of Collinsville, MS; three aunts, Evilois Brazzil of Chicago, Ill and Julia Crouther of Clearwater, FL, and Bessie Vivians of Carthage, MS; close friend, Patricia Windham; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
