MOTHER WYNELL DAVIS – AGE 92, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with her family at her bedside. She was born on May 4, 1932 to the late Horace Ross and Effie Mae Davis Harris. She was preceded by her son, Kenny Davis, Wayne Johnson, sisters, Betty Jo Arnold, and Georgia Ann Turner, brother, Danny Harris, stepfather, Fred D. Harris, aunts, Fannie Ross Moore, and Dorothy Ross Bowie. Mother Davis was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Adairsville, Georgia and was last employed at Crown Crafts Mills.
Survivors are her loving and devoted son, Monty (Tracey) Davis of Adairsville, Georgia; daughter, Glenda (James) McConnell of Calhoun, Georgia; four grandchildren; Rodney (Edna) Davis of Rome, GA, Kizzy McConnell, Brandy McConnell of Calhoun, Jarrode (Sarah) Davis of Columbus, Ohio, nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Lavern Harris and Joan Carter; three brothers, F. K. ( Jeanette) Harris, Edward Harris, and Lewis (Annie) Harris of Adairsville; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and her church family.
Homegoing Celebration will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1:00 P. M. at Friendship Baptist Church, Martin L. King, Jr. Drive , Adairsville, Georgia with Pastor Brian Stevenson as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Gordon Memorial Garden. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
