Mr. Willie Weston Marsh of Summerville, GA was born April 10, 1934 in Lafayette, GA to the late William Samuel Marsh and Mattie Bell Carter Marsh. Willie’s earthly life ended Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Suttles; brothers, Jim, Herman, Monroe, Lester, Leon, Marvin, Wylie, and Ray Marsh; sisters, Janie Mae Marsh, Callie Mae Brown, Hazel Harris, and Ruby Shropshire.
Willie received his early childhood education in the Walker County School System. He later attended Morris Town Tennessee School for Boys. After graduation, he worked at the Marsh and Sons Lumber Mills, a family owned business. He also was employed by E. T. Barwicks Mills of Lafayette, GA as a textile worker. Reading was his passion next to God and his family. Willie was the thirteenth child of thirteen children. Although he was a twin, he was considered as the baby of the family and spoiled by all. Willie loved his family and his family loved him. He spent the last years of his life in the home of his daughter Sheral and all the family came by see and assist in the care of their beloved Willie.
Willie’s memories will be held close to the hearts of his two daughters, Chapitre Marsh and Sheral Marsh both of Summerville, GA; two sons, Randy Marsh of Rome, GA and Rodney Greer of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Tristan, Aryel, Nicahelia, and Chris Marsh; Jennifer Bejar, Cursty, and Alesia Greer; Deontae Brandon, Kendall, Jared, and Jessica Marsh; brother-in-law, Bobby Martin; sister-in-law, Clara Marsh and great-grandchildren; special niece Mona Lisa Reeves; special nephew, Jerry Marsh; other nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 6, 2020 2:30 P.M. at Willis Funeral Home, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721, with Rev. Dr. Donald White, Eulogist. Interment; Marsh Memorial Garden. There will be a walk through visitation Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
