WALLACE LEE CATHEY, Sr. - Age 71, of Chattanooga TN peacefully passed Friday, December 31, 2022. away at his residence. A graduate of Howard High class of 1969. He worked at Hardwick and Sons Funeral Home 12 years under Mr. Robert Hardwick and Chattem Inc for over 40 years. Wallace was a member of St. Elmo M.B. Church as a child.He was a faithful and dedicated member he drove the church bus for 25 years and once Chairman of the Trustee Board and a Trustee. Wallace precedes in the death by his grandparents Milton Cathey Sr. and Mattie Adams Cathey mother Leila Cathey aunt Susie Cathey Woods uncles Milton Cathey Jr. And Carl B. Woods special cousin Vivian Talley He leaves behind a daughter Aisha (Juan)Holloway of Antoich TN son Wallace Lee Cathey Jr. of Chattanooga TN several grand children, cousins. Devoted friend and caregiver Evelyn Baker. friend, Frank and Louise Hill. And many other caring family and friends.

I'm sending up prayers🙏🏽and deepest sympathy ❤️🩹 for Wallace's family. I grew up with him in St. Elmo along with the late Dorothy Oliver. I remember Wallace as always being a gentleman with a calm and pleasant spirit. At last he is at rest. May God bless those he left behind. Sandy Smith
