MRS. SEREACE ALICE UPSHAW WASHINGTON – AGE 82, - Of Adairsville, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 with her family at her bedside. She was born on July 4, 1941 to the late Harrison Upshaw and Minnie Mae Winters Upshaw. She was a graduate of Stephens High School in Calhoun, Georgia, was retired from Mannington Carpets for over twenty-eight years, and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sereace Washington was preceded by her son, Ezere Washington, Jr., and Paul Washington.
Survivors are her loving and devoted daughter, Darlene W. (Theodore) Scott, Jr. of Adairsville, Georgia; son, Edward (Mechelle) Washington of Calhoun, Georgia; sister, Ruth Davis; uncle, Bobby Winters of Fairmount, Georgia; grandchildren, Sereace Ann Marquis Wilkey, Tyler Scott, Ambrea Corey Pitts, Taylor Washington, Jomandi Fisher; great grandchildren, Amara Betts, Chloe Pitts, Kane Scott, Ace Wilkey; special niece, Mary Upshaw Bryant; nephew, Tyrone Davis; niece, Sarah McClain, a host of other nieces, nephews; special friends, Lois Gainor Mitchell, Petina Reynolds, and other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 with Pastor Rodney Weaver as Eulogist. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
