MS. RITA SUZANNE “SUZIE” KING – Age 63, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She was born February 18, 1961 to her late parents; father, James Crawford and mother, Rita Crawford. She was a graduate of Northwest High School and obtained an Associates of Science Degree in Sociology from Dalton State College.
Suzie lived a life of incredible highs and lows, but was always able to find joy, an attribute that attracted those around her. Regardless of the circumstances, she was always bringing new friends into her life. Her ability to see the humor in life always brought her through. She perpetually remained her unapologetic self while loving those around her deeply and completely. Those who knew Suzie best were witness to her fun with conspiracy theories, avoidance of housekeeping, and consumption of mass quantities of mayonnaise (among other things) which made her unique and entertaining. Her children and grandchild were her greatest source of happiness.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Lucy King, Molly King, and Fergus King; grandchild, Benjamin Marouf; siblings, Jim Crawford, Lorrie Crawford, and Crystal McClure; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 4:00 P. M. – 6:00 P. M. at Willis Funeral Home, 2011 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

My favorite memory was our bicycle ride and everyone made fun of my bike including Lucy.
Suzie could always make you laugh, she had a way with words that would make me crack up over something simple. She could tell a story, make your imagination see what she was saying in picture form. Suzie, you will be missed! 😢
I went to high school with Suzie, we were in band together, she was a great person, and fun to be around. Praying for her children and family......Linda Cofield
