Obituary For Preeya Lashawn Fain

MRS. PREEYA LASHAWN MOSLEY FAIN- Age 50, Of Summerville, Georgia transitioned peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on June 6, 1973, to her parents, Samuel Wayne Mosley and Annie Mae Mostiller Mosley. She was preceded by her maternal grandparents, Columbus and Hattie Mae Mostiller, and paternal grandparents, Hamp Sr. and Jessie Mosley, and other loved ones.

Preeya graduated from Chattooga High School (Class of 1993) and obtained a Cosmetology Degree from Walker Tech. During her career, she worked for Windstream (formerly BellSouth) and City of Summerville, Georgia.

Preeya was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She was a dedicated member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Summerville, Georgia, serving in the choir, leading the youth, and many other ministries. She loved writing poetry, spending time with her daughters, and all of her family and friends, as well as winning when she played cards.

She is survived by her loving and devoted family, husband, John Fain, Jr.; daughters, Desiree Fain and Jania Fain; parents, Samuel Wayne Mosley and Annie Mae Mostiller Mosley; brother, Alex (Erica) Mosley; niece and nephew, Rachel Mosley and Zander Mosley; father-in-law, John Fain, Sr. and mother-in-law, Vanessa Fain; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; best friend, Tara Foster, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 265 Oak Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia 30747 with Pastor George Beavers, Rev. Melvin Mosley as Eulogist, and other Ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Oak Hill Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
