Obituary For Kenwin "Champ" Cedric Printup, Sr.

MR. KENWIN "CHAMP" CEDRIC PRINTUP, SR. - Age 50, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, December 16, 2022. He was born September 29, 1972, in Calhoun, Georgia to his late parents John Printup, Jr. and Rose Mae Printup. He was raised in Bethel A. M. E., Dalton, GA and later attended other churches. He was a graduate of Dalton High School Class of 1991 where he was a member of the basketball team. He was employed as a Truck Driver, Referee, and Umpire. He was highly involved in the community as a coach and was labeled as “The People’s Champ”. He also was an avid fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred Hill, Sr. and Eva Mae Hill, and paternal grandparents, John Printup, Sr. and Sara Printup.

He is survived by his loving fiancé, Ira Hughes; children, Kiah (Dustin) Porter, Trevor Printup, Desmond Printup, Zharia Printup, Kayla Hall, Ka’shala Hall, Montana Printup, Kenwin Pintup, Jr., and Kendale Printup; grandchildren, Holden, Nova, Freedom, Ezra, and Amari; brothers, Dexter Printup, Antonnio (Kristy) Printup, Taja (Katrina) Printup, Sr., Raykwon Welch, Jeremy (Katora) Printup, and Eric (Michelle) McConnell; sister, Tina (Anthony) Gracie; aunts, Annette (Marcus) Macon, Elaine Hall, Joyce Burse, Clarissa Love, Maxine Hill, Winifred (Brady, Sr.) Hart, Rev. Jessie (Jimmy) Turner, and Arlene (Ronald Pritchett) Printup; uncles, Alfred (Mary) Hill, Jr., Arthur Hill, Robert Love; and special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be Monday, December 26, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Allen, Eulogist and Rev. Rodney Weaver, Officiant. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. Interment; West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
