Obituary For J.L. Burse

MR. J. L. “J. BOY” BURSE – Age 91 of LaFayette, GA passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 following the death of his wife, Flossie Odessa Burse, whom passed away December 13, 2019. He was a member of Cove Road Church of God. He worked as a Brick and Stone Mason and retired from Chattanooga Coke and Chemical. Preceding him are his daughter, Magline Southern, son, Samuel Burse, parents, Jacob Burse and Rosie Dallas Burse, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his daughters, Barbara (Jessie) Loving of Valdosta, GA and Mary Ann Burse of LaFayette, GA; sons, Timothy (Cassandra) Burse and Otis Burse of LaFayette, GA; eleven grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bertha K. Burse; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Service will be held Saturday December 28, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Cove Road Church of God, 616 N Chattanooga St, LaFayette, GA 30728 with Bro. James Brown, Eulogist. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at the church. Interment: Garmany Cemetery. Please share your thoughts and memories of Mr. J. L. “J.
