MRS. HARRIETT “DALE” WALTHALL STEELE- Age 69, Of Dalton, Georgia transitioned peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Mrs. Steele was born on December 12, 1955 to the late Harold and Inez Slaton Walthall. She was preceded by her sister, Paulette Pearson. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and Tampa Technical College both in Tampa, Florida. Her last employments were with Collins and Aikman and Sierra Transportation.
Survivors are her loving and devoted husband, Allen Steele, Sr.; sons, Allen Steele, Jr., special son, Kevin Fernandez of Dalton Georgia; daughters, Tawanda (Keith) Ellington, Tiffany (Tony) Stephens of Tampa, Florida, Khalilah (Bernard, Jr.) Steele Betton of Dalton; grandchildren, Sidney Ramsey of Dalton, Tony Stephens of Tampa; Rodney Hill, Jr. of Dalton, Makala Ellington of Tampa, Syrus Hill of Summerville, Georgia, Maliq Ellington of Tampa, Dallen Hill of Dalton, Preston Steele of Dalton, Tyriq Stephens of Tampa, Gavin Steele of Dalton; one great grandchild, Tiana Hill of Dalton; sisters, Bridgette McArthur of Ruskin, Florida, Yvonne Allen of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Oliver Whitehead of Ruskin, William Whitehead of Plant City, Florida, Martinez Walthall of Lakeland, Florida; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and her church family.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at West Hill Cemetery, Dalton, Georgia with Bishop Claud Jones as Eulogist. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 12:00 noon. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia.
