Obituary For Gloria Jean Upshaw

MS. GLORIA JEAN UPSHAW- Age 60, Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at a local health care. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Ruth Gladden Upshaw, Sr. One grandson, Eric Upshaw, Jr. and brother, Joseph Upshaw, Jr. preceded her is death. She is survived by her fiancé, Maurice Myles; daughter, Kizzy Shropshire of Chattanooga; son, Eric Upshaw, Sr. of Kensington, Georgia; sisters, JoAnne Upshaw Davis, Virginia Upshaw Turner, both of Chickamauga, Georgia, and Irene Upshaw of LaFayette, Georgia; brother, Anthony (Carolyn) Upshaw of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Isaiah Shropshire, Jayla Key, KeAsia Shropshire, and Emonie Washington; godson, Anthony Johnson; aunts, Bonnell Upshaw of Carrollton, Georgia, Mattie Simpson of Chickamauga, Georgia, and Mary Stevenson of Boston, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Lillian Upshaw of Chattanooga; best friend, Theresa Morgans of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 427 Southern Road, Chickamauga, Georgia, with Pastor William Tramble and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, Garmany Cemetery.
