To the family of Mrs. Rivers King, I am very saddened and sorry for the loss of such a wonderful human being. I learned today that she transitioned in February, 2022. During that time, I was recovering from COVID-19. Mrs. Rivers King helped me so much when I was a graduate student in The Whitney M. Young, Jr. School of Social Work. I appreciated her wisdom, guidance, and love for students. I could not have completed the MSW program without her assistance and unwavering support. Blessings to her in the afterlife. ππΎπππΎ

I pray God's blessings upon the King family and friends as they mourn the passing of their daughter, sister, friend, and all other relations. I knew Mrs. King when our paths would cross on campus at Clark Atlanta University (CAU). I remember her telling me that she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church (EBC). Since I am a Deacon at EBC, I made it a point to always drop by to chat with her whenever I was in the Whitney M. Young, Jr. School of Social Work. She was a delightful person to talk with--always with as smile. Although I haven't seen her for a few years, I hold dear and loving memories of her. May she rest in peace. Paul M. Brown, CAU.

My sweet Dee "Claudette" you will always be in our heart. You are one of the sweetest women I've met. We wish you a good journey to join God's family.
Claudette was a dear friend. She was the mainstay of Clark Atlanta University School of Social Work under the supervision of four Deans. My husband, Dr. Robert Waymer, and I were fast friends of Claudette. We wanted so much to sit with her in the hills of Whitfield County and reminisce about her beautiful, comforting, and joyful MCing of our wedding reception! All the Waymers and the Romaines were beautifully coordinated and permitted to add their personal talents to the reception. Rest In Peace, Claudette. You have earned Eternal Rest! God bless this family, especially Claudette's mother, and give them joy in the morning!
