MR. CAREY DEMETRIUS LACKEY- Age 45, - Of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 from injuries sustained from an accident. He was born on September 23, 1967 and was preceded in death by his father, Robert Nathaniel Lackey. Carey graduated in 1986 from Chattooga High School.Survivors are his loving family, daughter, Jessica Phillips of Summerville, Georgia; mother, Mae Emma Lackey of Lyerly, Georgia; two brothers, Kenneth (Utama) Lackey of Rome, Georgia and Robert (Linda) Lackey of Summerville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of dear friends.Service for Carey Demetrius Lackey will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. at Pond Spring A. M. E. Zion Church with Pastor Anthony Brown and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
