Obituary For Bob Jones

MR. BOB JONES – Age 82, of Dalton, Georgia passed on Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was born January 22, 1941 in Rome, Georgia to his late parents. He is also preceded by his son, Brad Blackwell, granddaughter, Bradetta Nicole Blackwell, sisters, Jimmie Lee Jones, Martha Jones, Pauline Jones, and brother, Robert Jones.

Bob was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He retired from Lockheed Martin where he worked for over 40 plus years. He was also a Deputy Sheriff for Floyd County and owned his own Janitorial Supply Store. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Blackwell Jones; daughter, Mary A. Lewis; grandchildren, Scott (Shawn) Blackwell, Shannon (Stephanie) Blackwell, James (Danielle) Lewis; A’ngelique Lewis, Jermaine “T. J.” Blackwell, Carvelle Smith, Carzelle Smith; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Weaver, Eulogist. The family will receive extended family and friends on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour. Interment; West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
