Dear Rod,
It's hard to find the words to express the depth of what I'm feeling, but I want to try, because you meant so much to me. You were more than just a friend; you were a light in my life, someone who could always make me smile, even on the darkest days. Your kindness, your laughter, and the way you cared so deeply about those around youβthese are the things that will stay with me forever.
You had this incredible way of making me laugh, lifting me up when i were down, and making me believe that things could get better. I'll always be grateful for the times you did that for me. You made a difference, Rod, more than you probably ever knew.
It's painful to think that you were carrying a weight that none of us could see, that you were hurting in ways we didn't fully understand. I wish I could have been there for you the way you were there for me. I hope you've found peace now, but I want you to know that you'll never be forgotten. You touched my life in the best possible way, and I'll carry your memory with me always. It is hard to believe its been 2 years
Thank you for being the incredible person you were. I miss you more than words can say, but I'll hold onto the good times, the laughs, and the love. You were a true friend, and I'm so lucky to have known you.
Rest easy. You'll always be in my heart.
With love, Mckinley H Pittner
Rod and I never really talked that much, but when we did, it was almost like a breath of fresh air. He was always very humble but had a personality and a smile that could light up a soul. He is truly a kindred spirit. We are both born under the same sun, and that I will always cherish. I was looking forward to seeing you in school again this school year. -Assada (a mutual friend).
