Be assured that our heavenly Father sees your sadness and feels the deep pain that comes when we lose someone we love {John 11:32,35} Jehovah God created us to enjoy life forever in perfect health and the desire to live forever on earth {Ecclesiastes 3:11} {Job 14:13-15} Here Job was speaking about waiting in the grave until the time came for God to remember him. The Bible teaches Jehovah is eager to raise the dead 'your dead will live.....And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life' {Isaiah 25:19} Jehovah sees death as an enemy 'He will swallow up death forever.....will wipe away the tears from all faces' {Isaiah 25:8}. My sincere sympathies to the Flournoy family. Very sorry for your loss. Know that God is eager to do away with death. Jehovah hates death; he views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. (Job 14:14,15) What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones.
