To my family words can not express the sadness I feel at the lost of my brother. I will miss talking to him on my way home late at night, laughing at his jokes and watching cook shows with him. But mostly I will miss his smile and his laugh. Bernie, you will never be forgotten. I will love you always! May God give the family strength, peace and courage during this time of bereavement. To Regina, the Belle and Battle families please know that I am praying for you. It was a pleasure to visit Bernard in the nursing home and even though he was going through what was undoubtedly a tough situation. He always had a smile and each visit deposited far more in me than than what I could bring to him. It was an honor to have known him and share for a brief time in his light. May God continue to bless you and keep you in the days ahead.
