William “Ben” Peace, 84 of Alvord, TX, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21st, 2023 in Decatur, TX.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25th, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord, with Rev. Bill Cleveland officiating.
Burial will follow at Alvord Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.
Ben was born at home in Atlanta, AR on March 31st, 1939 to Carl and Christine Peace. He graduated from Alvord High School in 1957. Ben served his country in the United States Army as a sergeant, and was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO. After his time in the service he started a life long career as a welder. Ben was well known, county-wide for his welding business.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carolyn Hall; brothers, Lewis Peace and twin brother, Charles “Len” Peace.
Ben is survived by his wife, Barbara Rice Peace; son, Dean Peace and wife Lei Ann; and grandson, Lane Peace, all of Alvord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Ben to the First Baptist Church of Alvord Building Fund at P.O. Box 25, Alvord, TX 76225.
