After Braniff, I had the good fortune of working for Ted in the Dallas Chief Pilot's Office for UPS. He was a wonderful boss and a good personal friend. Respected by all, his flying career read like a storybook for aviators. To Marlene and the Price family, your loss is shared by so many friends who will pray for you and have fond memories of an honorable man who truly cared about others. Larry Lovett
Blue skies and tailwinds sir. Thank you for the start of a long and fruitful career at UPS. Take care Travis. John Reece, Captain UPS
Such a kind gentleman & easy to fly & work with. Alwayts looked forward to visiting wilt at BISE reunions. My prayers & peace to the family. Dale Garrett
What a joy Ted was to fly with. One particular experience I had with Ted was that after eight long years as a Braniff International flight engineer, he was giving me my three bounces one night at Connally Air Force Base at Waco, TX. This was the result of my completing the Braniff Educational Systems program using my GI Bill funding for the Boeing 727 type rating. After the three left seat bounces, Ted asked me "What are you going to do next"? I said, "I just received my First Officer bid on the Boeing 727". So Captain Ted put me in the right seat, gave me three bounces, and said, "Now you're a co-pilot". What a class act he was. He touched my life, showing me the expression of genuine humanity. I am truly sorry to learn of Ted's passing. I had the good fortune to work with him in the Braniff Airlines Line Check office for over a year. I still count that time I spent working with Ted as some of the best times in my career with Braniff. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marleen and the entire Price family. RIP my dear friend.
Great guy! I enjoyed flying with him. Rusty Green
