Obituary For Shirley Lajuana Beggs

Shirley Lawana Beggs, 80 of Nocona, TX went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 in Wichita Falls, TX.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1st at the First Baptist Church of Montague in Montague, TX, with Pastor Mickey Mills officiating.

Shirley was born December 10, 1943 in Graham, TX to James Haskel Rushin and Mildred Pauline (Thomas) Rushin. She graduated from Graham High School, she then started a lifelong career in the title business and served for 35 years. On February 14, 1970, Shirley married Ted Beggs in Fort Worth, TX. Ted and Shirley owned and operated the Corner Store in Montague for several years, and in 1999 they opened Mine & Yours Feed Store in Bowie. She certainly kept herself busy operating Shirley Beggs Pet Grooming for many years and Linda Ross Book Keeping as well.

Shirley enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, and cooking for her family get-togethers. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her memory will be cherished by all those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Candace Beggs.

Shirley is survived by her husband Ted Beggs; children, Amanda Reeves of Nocona, Darrel Beggs and wife Denise of Hillsboro, TX and Dale Beggs of Henrietta, TX; grandchildren, Cody Reeves, Ashely Reeves, Charis Dillon and husband Kyle, Jeremy Beggs and wife Sarah Jane, Dottie Taylor and husband Danny, Kati Hamilton and husband Shane, T.J. Beggs, Casey Beggs and wife Casey and Shannon Beggs; and numerous great-grandchildren.
