Obituary For Ricky Don Taylor

Ricky Don Taylor, 62 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13th, at Carter Lake Baptist Church, with Pastor Chris Osborne officiating.

Ricky was born January 8th, 1959 in Whitewright, TX to William and Joyce (Coble) Taylor. After high school, he worked as a truck driver for 20 years. Ricky then was a fisherman in the oilfield 20 years, traveling all over the United States. He enjoyed working on various projects around his home. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Baker and her husband Johnny, his father Tubby Taylor and his wife May, and his grandson Joy Lee.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Taylor of Bowie; daughters Rebecca Killam Taylor of Ohio, and Shelon Taylor of Bowie; son Ricky Taylor Jr. of Bowie; grandchildren Anthony Pizzoferrato Jr., Adam Pizzoferrato, Aaron Helbert, Amethy Jaster, Chloe Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Conner Taylor, Olivia Taylor, and Cora Steveson; brothers Bill Taylor and wife Wanda, Wayne Taylor and wife Angie, Jimmy Taylor, Andy Taylor, and Eddie Taylor and fiance Tyrell Cram; and sister Dollye Lawson and husband Lynn.
