A Celebration of Life will be held for Patty at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 N Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080.
Patty was born on April 7, 1962, in Dallas, TX to Grenville, III and Dorothy Fortine Lewis. She was the youngest of two girls and three boys and sister to Grenville Lewis IV, Linda Lee Lewis Kugler, Paul Reeve Lewis and Thomas John Lewis. She graduated from Plano Senior High School and worked as an executive admin at EDS, Amerisource Bergen and L3Harris, all companies she spoke very fondly of and who helped her through her times of need.
Growing up, Patty had a special relationship with her mother, Dorothy, as the two of them made many trips together both domestically and internationally. They traveled together for 40 years, visited every state, five cruises, eight different countries and her mother has wonderful memories of the travels they shared. Then, Patty, while working at EDS, met the love of her life, Rick Leeper, and they were married on March 20, 2010. They had a wonderful life together traveling with their many friends and she held the utmost love and respect for him until her passing.
Patty was the BIGGEST Dallas Cowboys fan. She would wear all of the Cowboy paraphernalia for games and would truly be crushed if they didn’t win. She was also a lover of nature, with a backyard filled with bunnies, squirrels, bird feeders, etc. and while most people were trying to get rid of squirrels, she would be feeding them. Patty also loved her Shelties. From Johnny to Ranger to her most recent one, Skipper, they all held a special place in her heart.
Her faith was strong, and she knows God has a special place for her with Him as she was constantly guided by her favorite saying, “Let your faith be greater than you fear”. One of her greatest qualities was her love for other people and her desire for their care over her own. If you asked her family or friends that knew her well, they would describe her as very hopeful, kind, positive and selfless. Patty will be remembered and forever missed by her husband Rick, her mother Dorothy, her four siblings, Grenville IV, Linda, Paul, Tom and her many nieces and nephew.
Her family grieves her loss but rejoices in the scripture, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Patty to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.

We are so sorry for the loss of our dear friend Patty. She was always a bright shining star and could light up any room that she entered. We have so many amazing memories together...from meeting in 1982 and being coworkers at EDS, our many trips, attending many concerts, and dancing the night away back in the day. Those memories will always be held close to my heart and never forgotten. Sending my sincerest condolences, and prayers for comfort during this difficult time to Rick, Dorothy, and the entire family. Fly high with the Angels sweet Patty...until we see you again.
