Obituary For Leslie "Les" Howard Gholson

Leslie Howard Gholson, age 66, of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on July 23rd, 2023 in Plano, TX.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on July 28th, at White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Mickey Terry officiating.

Burial will follow at Spanish Fort Cemetery.

Friends and family are welcome for visitation on July 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at the White Family Funeral Home.

Les was born on March 1, 1957 in Lawton, OK to Leroy and Murl (Chafin) Gholson. On September 3, 1993 Les married Francis Goolsby in Bowie. He worked as an independent truck driver and heavy equipment operator for many years. Les enjoyed racing cars, riding motorcycles, and tinkering on his many toys. He was a devoted husband, father and Papa and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Les is survived by his wife, Francis Gholson of Bowie; daughter, Kristen Williams and husband Richard of Haslet; stepsons, Cory Meyers and wife Angie of Bowie and Brad Meyers of Bowie; grandchildren, Tayler Williams, Kaleb Williams, and MJ Meyers; brother, Tracy Gibbs of Graham; and sister, Doylene Jones of Wichita Falls.

Les’ passing leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled. His gentle spirit, wisdom, and unwavering love will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. Although we mourn his loss, we take solace in the memories we shared and the profound impact he had on all of us.
