Kurt Thomas Roberts, 68, of Forestburg, TX, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Saint Peter Lutheran Church in Bowie, TX, with Rev Larry Knobloch officiating. Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Kurt was born October 4th, 1956, to Rex Roberts and Betty Robinson in Pittsburg, Kansas. After graduating from high school, he went on to pursue his dreams in Construction. He became very successful in the construction field working his way from Carpenter to Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent. He landed over 41 big projects all over the US from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mississippi, Michigan, North Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, and Missouri. His last active position before passing was Vice President of Construction for Turner Forest Industries since 2014.
In 1982 Kurt met Lori Dunn in Odessa, Texas. Together they had two sons: Dallas Roberts and Jimmy Roberts.
Kurt loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He especially loved his grandchildren and always made the effort to spend time with them whether it was fishing, camping, shopping, or attending their sporting activities; he was always there.
He is preceded in death by his father Rex Roberts, stepfather Jimmy Robinson, mother Betty Robinson, and grandson Toby Roberts.
Kurt is survived by brothers, Rick Roberts and David Roberts and wife Lyn; sisters, Peggy Smith and Nancy Joines and husband Otis; his two sons, Dallas Roberts and Jimmy Roberts and their spouses Missy Roberts and Stacian Roberts; his grandchildren Emily, Ella, Lane, Liam, and Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.

He was such a dear friend to me and I will miss him. We used to love to eat Mexican food together and he would take all the leftovers....:) Sending prayers and comfort to the Roberts family....Lots of love to my buddy, Kurt!
