Obituary For Genesis Leeann Mae Darland

Genesis Leeann Mae Darland, 23 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 in Nocona, TX.

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, June 13th, at 2:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Bowie, with Pastor Glenn Neff officiating.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX.

Family and Friends will be gathering for visitation on Monday, June 12th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.

Genesis was born October 15, 1999 in Decatur, TX to Crystal Mann and Daryn Darland. Genesis lit up the room with her bubbly personality and big smile. This beautiful girl was a true blessing to her family.

Genesis worked hard as Certified Nurse’s Aide and Caretaker. She was an avid animal lover who would rescue any stray she came across to just save its life! On May 17, 2021, Genesis gave birth to her pride and joy, Lukas…AKA her lil Lukey Pukey! Genesis loved being a mama to Lukas above all, but also loved to travel, listen to music, dance, and spend time with her family and friends. She was their little Social Butterfly! Genesis will be remembered for her sweet smile, sassy attitude, and her big heart!

She is preceded in death by both of her parents; Grandad, Darryl Darland; great-grandparents; and aunt, Megan Darland.

Genesis is survived by her precious son, Lukas Maxey; grandmothers, Diana Mann and Ann Darland, both of Bowie, TX; grandfather, Dennis Mann of Wichita Falls, TX; brothers, Rylin Brooks, JJ Sipes, Ryder Mann, Parker Sparks, Tyler Darland, Nathan Darland, Nicklaus Darland, Dawson Bennett, Thomas Bryan, and Raiden Mullenix; sisters, Jordyn Beasley and Marilla Woods; stepparents Miranda and Tacoma Braden; special friends, Tina Houston and Family and Kenda Blaylock and Family; and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to list!
