Gary and i were both seniors in 1964. I worked Saturdays at Slaughter Drug store here in Bowie. On Saturday afternoons, he would come into the drug store and get a coke. Sometimes a burger. He would sit for awhile and visit. After about 30 minutes, he would decide it was time to mosey on down the street. After all these years I don't remember what we talked about. Probably current movies. After high school, I got married and moved away When I would come home to visit my mom and dad, sometimes we would see each other, say hi and be on our way. Those were the good old days. RIP for all your friends and family will join you some day. Your friend in Jesus. Geneva Tomlin
I am so sorry to learn of Gary's(Fergie) passing. He was such a dear man.David Sr and I became friends with him many years ago when he worked behind the meat counter at Carter &Whitecotten's food store in Bowie. And later as a special customer when we owned a cottage florist. He will be dearly missed by many. My deepest condolences to his family❤️
Gary and I were each others closest neighbors in the edges of Vashti and were childhood friends. We played at our houses as children, then as "hunters" hiked all around our rural neighbors land. I went off to college and career, after his military duty he returned to the Fergueson home/land. Over the last 50 years we have remained friends and visited when I was back in the Vashti area. He has been my lifelong friend. I will certainly miss him. Rest in peace Gary Leo.
