Edna LaFern Hamilton, beloved Mother, Mawmaw, Meme and GG, 92 of Bowie, TX, passed away on Monday, May 2nd, 2022.
Graveside services will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.
Edna was born May 31, 1929 in Newport, TX to William “Bill” and Beulah White. She graduated from Bowie High School in 1947. On April 12, 1947, Edna married J.A. “Cotton” Hamilton. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with what meant the most to her, family. She also enjoyed playing dominos with her friends and watching the Texas Rangers play baseball. Edna was a long-time member of the Carter Lake Road Church of Christ. Edna will be missed by so many, and remembered for her kind and humble nature.
She is preceded in death by her husband by her husband J.A. “Cotton” Hamilton, two sons Randall Hamilton and Olan Hamilton, sister Georgia Lahman, and her parents.
Edna is survived by her children, Roger Hamilton and wife Annitta, Lawana Cannedy and husband Terry, Ross Hamilton and wife Cindy, Rex Hamilton and wife Carla, and Lacresia Gregory and husband Gary; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Jan White.
Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
