Donna M. Gilbert, 82 of Newport, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 in McKinney, TX. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13th, at the First Baptist Church of Bowie, with Pastor Raymond Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 12th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX. Donna was born March 12th, 1938 in Graham, TX to Marvin and Edith (Holland) Nall. On March 29th, 1969 she married W.C. Gilbert in Terral, OK, and together they raised two children. Donna loved gardening, her Bunco parties every month, and time spent at church with her Sunday class. She was the secretary to the Newport Cemetery Association for many years. Donna was a hardworking and devoted Wife, Mother and GiGi. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Sherry Nall, Ross Nall, and Dwayne Nall. Donna is survived by her husband of 51 years, W.C. Gilbert; children Russell Gilbert and wife Dana of Wylie, TX and Ginger Willis and husband Gary of Frisco, TX; grandchildren James Newton, Chandler Gilbert King and Jacob, Addison Gilbert Munns and Austin, William Worth Gilbert, and John Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.

Donna was our neighbor friend; she was a sweet lady. We loved her, and we will miss her. May God give all family members comfort.
