Obituary For Billie Jo Carlisle

Billie “Jo” Carlisle, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Bowie. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 in the chapel of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie. Jo was born on August 15, 1936 in Saint Jo, TX to William and Lola (Huff) Hutson. On December 21, 1974 she married Bobby Carlisle in Bowie. She was a nurse at Bellmire Health Care, as well as various other health care facilities. After retirement she began a full time farming career. Although she never lived on a farm before, she was excellent worker and housewife. Jo enjoyed working in her garden, cooking, and canning. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charlie, Alfred and Leroy (Red) Hutson, and sister Lois Noble. Jo is survived by her husband of 44 years Bobby Carlisle; children Debbie Hummel and husband Don of Wichita Falls, Vickie Roberts and husband John on Norman, OK, and LeaAnna Farney of Henrietta; grandchildren Melinda Woolf, Becky Ortiz, Sean Roberts and Drew Roberts; five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers Gerald Hutson and Gene Hutson; sister Francis Heck and numerous nieces and nephews.
