Obituary For Bennie Warren Richey

Bennie Warren Richey, 89 of Midland, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 in McLean, TX.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX, with Pastor Larry Kennedy officiating.

Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.

Bennie was born May 23, 1934 in Montague County, TX to Willie and Carl Richey. He was raised in Bowie, TX and graduated from Bowie High School. On September 18, 1954, Bennie married Oma Sue Russell of Prairie Valley, TX. Bennie worked for Texaco for 39 years, served in the United States Army and was a husband and father, who loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Oma Sue; parents, Willie Mae and Carl Richey; sister, Bonnie Richey Ford; brothers, Carl Richey Jr. and Thomas Dean Richey.

Bennie is survived by his daughter, Karen Evans and husband Bobby of McLean, TX; grandchildren, Hunter Evans of McKinney, TX and Makenzie Evans of Oceanside, CA; great-grandchildren, Aria and Indi of Oceanside, CA; sister Chris Curb of Albuquerque, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
