Augusta, Georgia-Mr. Christopher Kyle Baker.
It is with sad hearts that we have gathered among family and friends in this sacred place to celebrate the life of our beloved Mr. Christopher Kyle Baker, the son of his beloved Mother, Ella Eula Baker and Mr. Horace Adams.
He was a lifetime resident of Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Baker attended Hephzibah High school, where he excelled in basketball and math. Chris gave his life to Christ at an early age and later joined Green Grove Baptist Church in Augusta Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Anthoni McElrath.
He was self-employed as a Skilled Painter and Artist, specializing in huge murals in the CSRA. Chris was very talented with his hands he could fix almost anything. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and friends, fishing (just like his father), listening to music, trying to cook, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons.
On Sunday March 14, 2022, Christopher Baker, 50, passed away at his residence. Although he was sick, he still tried to put a smile on everyone’s face. Chris was always ready to tell a joke or do something silly to make you laugh. Mr. Baker was a fighter and a protector of those he loved. We will remember Christopher Kyle Baker as a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Ella Eula Griffin, in March of 2016. Christopher leaves to cherish his memory: father, Mr. Horace Adams of Ecorse, MI; stepfather, Mr. Sim J. Pope, Jr. of Augusta, GA; two daughters, Miss Sheondra Baker and Miss Jireh Baker, both of Buford, GA; three brothers, Mr. Eddie Adams of Augusta, GA, Antwaine (AC) Pope of Woodstock, GA, and Khiry Griffin, Sr. of Augusta, GA; three sisters, Stacey (Garrett) Brown of Augusta, GA, Shemekia Pope of Augusta, GA, and Cherlyse Adams of Detroit, MI; very special brother-in-law, Mr. Stacey Hill; five special aunts, Betty English Merriweather of Augusta GA, Maxine Adams-Wright of Roswell, GA, and Tracey P.
