Those who live in our hearts will be with us always. Buster I will always love you and cherish our time well spent sitting around having conversations and just enjoying laughing and catching up. You know how to light up a room with your many jokes. You kept me laughing. Your memories will always be in my heart forever. We cannot control the movement of time nor can we control our own destiny or the destiny of those we love. We can take comfort in knowing that those who have lives in our hearts are really never gone. Here on earth you have done your best. Now the time has come for you to take your place in heaven's gate. Until we are all together again rest in God's arms. You are now an Angel watching over us.
Love you forever and forever Aunt Josephine White your Aunt Jo'

We became acquainted with the Bates Family at The Liberal Trinity COGIC way back in the 80s. We loved this family and all who were related. Subdivision #2 was like a family and some of them joined our family church. I didn't get to know the grown Buster but I remembered that Brother & Sister Bates had a lot of children.
No words can take away the loss you feel but remember that Jesus knows and He cares. May you all be comforted, experience the peace that surpasses man's understanding, and be strengthened by the Almighty God. I love you. πβοΈπ ~ Leah Angela Curry-Williams

Buster you will be greatly missed!! When I would see him at Aunt Mary's for gatherings, at Addy's or Paris' Bday parties, or taking the girls to the firehouse to visit, he would always make you smile or laugh about something. My daughter loved her Uncle Buster. She loved going to the fire station to see him and get to see the fire trucks. He and Addy had a saying when they talked on phone (HamMercy) they would say to each other in their on funny way. To the daughters (Gerrica and Mary),brother and sisters of Gerald Buster Bates I know it's a lot of pain and hurt but remember the goods times the laughs and love you shared.
