Mrs. Lucille Benson, 71, of Eclectic, Al passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Mrs. Lucille Benson Splunge was born on November 15,1952 to Jim and Geneva Benson in Elmore County, AL. Lucille was the 5th child to be born.

Lucille was the wife of Billy W. Splunge for many years. Together they raised five kids, Robert Jr. Benson, the late Lisa Diane Benson, Sherry Ann Robinson, the late Billy Joe Splunge and Julie Splunge.

Lucille accepted Christ at an early age and joined Beulah Baptist Church of Eclectic, AL and later joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Eclectic, AL. She served and supported the church until she wasn’t able to.

Lucille loved her kids and family. She also loved to spend time playing cards, cooking and going to the casinos until she became ill.

Lucille departed this life on Monday, January 29,204 at Russell Hospital in Alexander City, AL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jim & Geneva Benson; daughter, Lisa Diane Benson; son, Billy Joe Splunge; Lurleen (Robert Golden), Laurie (Shine) Bozeman and Sylvia Benson.

Lucille leaves to cherish many memories to: Her children, Robert (Quida) Benson, Sherry Ann (Jamie) Robinson and Julie Splunge, all of Eclectic, Al; one brother, Willie James Benson of Eclectic, AL; four sisters, Vader (John) Moore of Wetumpka, AL, Marynell (Author Lee) Murphy, Carrie (Kenny) Bozeman of Eclectic, AL and Valerie Crapps of Tallahassee, Al and a loving daughter-in-law, Robin Alexis Splunge; Grandchildren, Adriana Monique Kendrick, De’Angelo Splunge, Marzavius Robinson, Ayashe Splunge, Marcavius Benson, Le’Airrd Carrasquillo, Lucas Thomas and Matthew Taylor; Great grandkids, Jaquan Kendrick, Adrian Kendrick, Kingston Robinson, Jamir Robinson, Rhamoni Moore and Nina; Special friends, Antha Matthews and Ann Youngeblood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

In person Condolences with the family & Public Viewing will be 5-7 P.M. Friday, February 2,2024. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 35 Blount Point Rd. Eclectic, AL 36024.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Interment: Thrash Cemetery, Eclectic, Al.
