Shante' Gabriell (Gabby) Nesbitt was born November 15th, 1969 in Atlanta Ga, at Grady Hospital to William and Julia Mae Chester-Nesbitt. Shante' was the oldest of 3 girls; she was born with cerebral palsy and accomplished everything they said she couldn't! Shante' attended Matheny Educational Center in Peacock, New Jersey before starting Union Point Elementary in Union Point Ga. She graduated from GTCHS in June of 1989. Shante' also volunteered in the Clarke County School system in the after-school program at Whit Davis Elementary classroom alongside Geraldine Dupree and all the children loved her. Shante' was preceded in death by her parents William & Julia, 1 grandmother, 2 grandfathers, 3 uncles, and 1 niece. She leaves behind her younger siblings Laviqua Nesbitt-Heard (Tommy), Sabrina Nesbitt-Goddard (Demarkous), William Antwan Nesbitt, a bonus sister NaDeva Dupree and 1 maternal grandmother. A host of aunts, uncles, 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great-nephews, 2 great nieces, host of cousins and friends.

My deepest condolences to the Nesbitt family. I am a classmate -C/O 89' of Shante. She absolutely had a beautiful spirit and demonstrated love during our school years together.
