Mother Lucille Johnson of Greensboro, Georgia made her transition from her earthly home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, August 11, 2023. She was born April 8, 1932 to the
parentage of Burt and Abbie K. Hill of Eatonton, Georgia. Mother Lucille joined Springfield Baptist Church in Greensboro, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. Stinson. She served on the
usher board and hospitality committee. Mother Lucille later became a member of the Christ City of Faith Church under the leadership of Apostle Murrin Wright and the late Pastor Lonnie
Mae Wright.
Mother Lucille was educated in the Putnam County School system. She worked in her early years for Ford Boston, City Cafe, BJ's Salad Bar and was a custodian at F.T. Corey and
Greene County High School. She loved cooking and sewing. She was a good mother to many over the years.
Mother Lucille was preceded in death by her mother and father, Burt and Abbie K. Hill of Eatonton, GA; her husband, Lonnie Johnson; her daughters, Montina Smith, Nora Johnson, Lonnie Mae Wright, Mary Johnson; her son, Willie Lee Johnson; her son-n-law, Fred Henderson; her sisters, Shirley Hill and Josephine Johnson; her brothers, Benny L. Hill, Willie Sid Hill, Charlie Hill, Paul Hill, Joe Hill, Willie B. Hill and Hubert Hill; sister in-laws, Anna Jernigan, Johnie Reba Johnson and Louise Hill; brother in-laws, Robert Lee Johns, Jimmy Hill Johnson, Willie James Hall and Jesse Johnson.
Mother Lucille leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted daughters, JoAnn Henderson and Linda Brown of Greensboro, GA, Dorothy Murrell of Athens, GA; son she
raised, Dwayne Wright of Greensboro, GA; son-n-law, Apostle Murrin Wright (Elaine) of Greensboro, GA; sisters in-law, Rosa Lawrence of Cincinnati, Ohio, Fannie Hill of Eatonton, GA, and Jessie M. Johnson of Atlanta, GA; daughter in-law, Daisy Mae Johnson of Athens, GA, thirty-three grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services: Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. from the United Methodist Church, 4741 Carey Station Road, Greensboro, Ga.
