Ladye Bea Terrell was born May 9, 1941 to the late Tony Lucious (T. L.) & Reba Mae Hutchinson in Greensboro, Georgia. A lifelong Greensboro resident, she graduated from F. T. Corry High School in 1959 where she was a basketball star. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she served and sang in the choir for many years.
Ladye Bea met the love of her life, the late Raymond Bernard "R.B." Terrell, and the two were joined in holy matrimony on January 12, 1961. To this union, three children were born. After retiring from Chipman Union in Union Point. Georgia, Ladye Bea spent many of her latter years as a devoted caregiver to her mother and husband as well as to several children throughout Greene County.
Ladye Bea was most well-known for her "life of the party" personality, her quick wit & sharp tongue, and her undeniable sense of humor. She never met a stranger, and she was well-loved and respected among her family, friends, church family, community, and beyond.
On March 27, 2024, Ladye Bea transitioned from her earthly body into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six brothers: Eugene, Cecil, Tharous, J. T., Emerson, & Willie Thornton, one sister, Emma Ruth Foster, and a dear and special friend, Mary Sue Jackson Green.
She leaves precious memories to cherish with her three children: Jeffrey (Annie) Terrell of Covington, GA, Fredrick (Myra) Terrell of Greensboro, GA, and ChiQuita (Michael) Brewer of Peachtree Corners, GA; three granddaughters: Shanaye (Dennis) Ruff of Greensboro, GA, Arranda (Clinton) Richardson of Covington, GA, and Avery (Marcus) Thomas of Gray, GA; three grandsons: D’Ondre (Crystal) Mapp, Fredrez (Morgan) Terrell and Zsaffrey Terrell all of Covington, GA; one brother', Harrell (Vivian) Hutchinson, one sister: Fannie Vestal, three sisters-in-law: Fannie Kate Hutchinson, Kate Hutchinson, and Elizabeth Hutchinson, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Service: Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 12:00 noon from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Greensboro, Ga. with Pastor D'Ondre Mapp, Eulogist
