She accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she served and sang in the choir for many years.

Ladye Bea met the love of her life, the late Raymond Bernard "R.B." Terrell, and the two were joined in holy matrimony on January 12, 1961. To this union, three children were born. After retiring from Chipman Union in Union Point. Georgia, Ladye Bea spent many of her latter years as a devoted caregiver to her mother and husband as well as to several children throughout Greene County.

Ladye Bea was most well-known for her "life of the party" personality, her quick wit & sharp tongue, and her undeniable sense of humor. She never met a stranger, and she was well-loved and respected among her family, friends, church family, community, and beyond.
