Born on February 25, 1938, in Woodville, GA, Julia Mae Fulton was the second child of parents Adam David (A.D.) Fulton and Annie Mae Latimore Fulton. She was a nurturing mother, beloved sister, cherished aunt, and dependable friend who will be dearly missed. She was raised and attended school in Greene County and received salvation during childhood at Randolph Baptist Church. Later in adulthood, Julia was joined in matrimony with Tyrone Moore and one child, Dennis Fulton, was a result of this union.
Julia spent 37 years of devoted service to the University of Georgia, Food Services Division, where her contributions helped to mold the young minds which matriculated through the institution. Her passion was cooking, and she enjoyed the comfort her many dishes would bring to everyone. As her time allowed, she enjoyed spending time with family and recalling childhood memories which would instantly bring about much laughter. She held very close to her heart the relationship with her siblings which was demonstrated at family gatherings. Upon retirement, Julia would enjoy the fruits of her labor for more than 25 years. In her spare time, she was an avid seamstress, enjoyed shopping, and spending time with family.
After a short illness, she transitioned from labor to reward on March 8, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.D. (1984) and Annie Mae Fulton (1986); siblings Robert Fulton (1974), Carrie Reese (2006), Adam Fulton (2012), Mary Fulton (2017), Annie Bell Robinson (2019), and Bob Willie Fulton (2024).
She is survived by her son Dennis; one granddaughter, Lakeysha Mitchell of Woodville, GA; aunt, Ethelene Fulton of Woodville, GA; three grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
