Words are difficult for a giant of a Man like James. His smile could light up the room, his laugh would spread through out Greensboro and his love for his God, his family and his friends was obvious. We're going to miss him. He and I had a nickname for each other....."PENFIELD". which I will cherish forever.
May the peace of God be with each of you during this difficult time. Keeping you all in prayer. Brenda Woods
My Condolences to the family
James loved life and enjoyed everything he did. I got to know him at Chipman-Union when he would wash my car after he got off work. Just thinking about James riding around in my tiny Miata makes me smile. James was a true friend, and like so many others I will miss him. Marguerite McInteer Petrie

To our Evans family...... James' laughter and his beautiful spirit will truly be missed. I could always hear James long, long before I saw him. He was loud and always full of life. I venture to say, James never met a stranger. May he rest in the arms of our Lord and may your memories sustain you during this difficult tie. Coach McKithen & family
