Abel Fulton, Jr., affectionately known as “Pumpkin”, was born on March 12, 1952, to the late Abe and Minnie Fulton.
Abel departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Charlie H. Fulton, Ernest Fulton and Sanders Merritt, one sister: Marie Grimes; and one god sister Marian Stephens.
Abel attended Greene County Public Schools. He joined the No Wall Ministry in North Carolina. Abel had many jobs to name a few: GoldKist Poultry, logging and fixing cars.
He leaves to cherish his memories three children Markes Mitchell, Miranda Mitchell and Myra Mitchell all of Athens, Ga.; one sister: Mary Fulton and one godson Malcolm Mitchell; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grands; two sisters-in-law: Viola Fulton & Louise Fulton; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and a special cousin Lucy Porter. He also leaves two good friends: William Campbell and Donnie Harris.
