Obituary For William Rufus Ridley

William Rufus "WeWe, TopKat, Red" Ridley passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee, at the age of 87. He was born October 11, 1935 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to the parents of Elder George Martin Ridley Jr. and Mattie Sue "Howse" Ridley.

Those left behind to cherish his memories; daughter, Tina (William) Ridley Jones; sons, Anthony (Becky Butts) Ridley and Tyrone Ridley; granddaughters, Toneisha (Jerry) Jones-Lee, Charitey (Heather) Mackenzie, Ashley Jones, Chastity Jones and Alexis Butts (Quinton); grandson, MacKenzie Ridley; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; special little men in his life; Trevin "Bubba" Johnson, Gabe Yarbrough, Branton "Turtle" Mays; very devoted friend; Mr. Thomas Floyd and Mr. Thomas Hobson, Shawn Noles, Donna Beasley and Rachel Lynch; 6 loving nieces and 1 nephew, host of other relatives and friends and Shady Grove Church Family along with the 3rd floor nursing station, CCU unit and all the doctors that supported us.

Mr. Ridley will lie in state on, Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1 until 6 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family, Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:30a.m. until 11:00a.m. at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Shady Grove Trail, Kirkland, Tennessee, with service to began at 11:00. Elder Howard Rucker, eulogist,
