Our Rooster, I will miss you dearly, you always made me laugh when you came through the Quarry. You were dedicated to making your deliveries on time and we could always depend on you. You were very kind to me when I came to the Vulcan Franklin Quarry in 2014 and became a very dear friend to me also. One of my fondest memory was you driving by on a Saturday in your convertible just rub it in that you did not work on Saturday, I still laugh at that. To the Blackmun Family, I will miss Rooster, He was one of a kind and very special to the Vulcan Family! We are Praying for your Family, Jo Dove
I will Miss my sweet Uncle Rooster, he would play with us as kids, and tease us and make us laugh and would always have a bright smile on his face I use to Love seeing him and his Big Trucks, hauling rocks he would blow his horn when he saw me, My Aunt Louise will be sad but we all know Uncle Rooster is in Heaven now and we will be there for her she is also precious and the sweetest woman in this entire world my husband is crazy about her too! (Joseph and Lucille Epling)
The Holt Family sends their condolences to the Blackmun Family. What a legacy Rooster is! Growing up I would go to his house every Halloween to be suprised with a bag full of candy. And it just wasn't the miniature bars. It was the full size ones! I'll always remember him driving his dump truck with the chrome roosters on the hood. My dad has the privilege to drive that dump truck now. It may have a different hood but you know it's roosters old truck when you see it. Ms. Ida, I send all my love, prayers and hugs to you during this difficult time. With Greatest Sympathy, Stephanie Holt
