Mrs. Fredrika Elaine Ewing Scruggs transitioned from this life on November 22, 2020 to be with the Lord at the age of 80. She was born in Columbia, TN. She was preceded in death by her father the late Anthony Ewing mother the late Lonnie Etta (Davis) Scruggs, and brother Anthony "LT” Ewing, Jr. and daughter, Teresa Scruggs. She was educated in the Williamson County School Systems.
She was united in holy matrimony at the age of 19 to the late William E. Scruggs. At the age of 49, she was baptized at Providence Primitive Baptist Church under the late Elder Herman Mosley. She was employed at several locations cooking for KFC, HG Hills and K-Mart before retiring. After retirement she was able to enjoy her love of planting and growing flowers.
She leaves behind her devoted daughter Sandra (Tracy) Meggs; sons Calvin (Edythe) Ewing; Clay Scruggs; John Jeffery Lee; Alonzo Wesley Lee; grandchildren Kianda and Kion Davidson, Clay L. Scruggs (aka: CJ), Brandon Scruggs, Sydney Scruggs, Tanesha Harris, Taiesha R. Lee, Bailey L. Hodges, Alonzo Wesley Lee II, Lazedrick S. Lee; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Davidson, Seth Davidson, Lacionna Lee, Kristopher Lee, Kavi’aun McClain, Kamaria Lee, Amir Wesley Carter Lee, Payleen Alexa Bell Pillow; devoted brother, McPhail Scruggs; devoted friends; Odessa Carter; Cookie Starnes; and a host of friends and relatives.
At the request of our mother, we are honoring her wishes by keeping her services private.
Sandra Iam so sorry for you and the families loss. i just found out. Your mom was a joy whenever I was around her growing up. She always put a smile on my face.Cherish the memories keep them close to your heart. You and your brothers and sisters are in our prayers.
