Brother Paul W. Lockett, of Malone, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in Foley, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at Snowhill African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery located at 5695 Snow Hill Road, Malone, Florida 32445, with the Dr. Samuel Everett and Reverend Abraham Johnson, officiating.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, all state and local guidelines for social distancing will be practiced for the safety of the public and especially the bereaved family. Everyone is required to wear a mask to attend the viewing or graveside.
He leaves to celebrate a lifetime of lasting memories and love, a devoted family:
4 Daughters: Ruthie Lockett, Deborah Lockett and Tammy McCollough all of Bascom, Florida and Sandra Lockett Toombs of Ft. Worth, Texas
1 Son: Hope Lockett of Bascom, Florida
1 Sister: Sylvia (Harold) Jeffries of St. Louis, Missouri
2 Brothers-in-law: Lester Pelt of Bascom, Florida and Chester Pelt of Dothan, Alabama
And a host of amazing grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowful friends.
I will cherish the memory of Sgt. Paul Lockett from the time he was at Calhoun CI. He was a joy to work with. Lifting the family up in prayer.

I will always remember Uncle Paul as he would come to St Louis Mo for our reunions as I was a kid with his family. May the Peace of God be with You my Cousins in this time of sorrow. In the words of that great hymn " God Be With You Till We Meet Again. Is my prayer in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
