Charlie Fred Moore, Jr.- went to be with his heavenly father on March 17, 2023 at Fort Sanders Intensive Care Unit.
Charlie was born on June 3, 1948 to Mrs. Mattie and Charlie Fred Moore, Sr. Charlie was a graduate of Riverside High School in Chattanooga, TN were he was an outstanding football player. Charlie and his family moved to Knoxville in 1986 where they became members of Victory View Baptist church and later merged in with Fern St. Missionary Baptist Church.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, daughter, Son and other relatives. Charlie leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Barbara Moore; daughters: Salita and Sonya Joseph, Elwanda (Vincent) White, Yolanda Lewis and Tracy Hartsell; Sons, Korrelle Redding, Sr. Dewayne and Tyrone Lewis, sisters: Rosemary Mack, Terrell North and Minnie (Vincent) Johnson, brothers, Robert North, Jr. Ervin Moore, Anthony Leonard, Micheal North, Mickey Moore and Leonard North; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to include Monica Hartsell, Carnetta (Pulu) Jones, Robyn Colbert, Brenda Cowan and Joslyn Colvin; a very dear cousin Rosemary (Calvin) Long.
The family will receive on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Fern St. Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Gregory Sawyer is Pastor and Eulogist.
The final resting place will be at Highland Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
