Obituary For Bennie Vereen
“For I know that my redeemer lives and at the last, he will stand upon the earth and after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall seek God” -Job 19:25-26
Deacon Bennie Vereen Sr., the son of the late Joe Vereen and Sarah Clardy Vereen, was born on April 25, 1928 in Longs, SC. He departed his earthly life on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at home after an illness.
He leaves to cherish one loving son; Bennie Jr (Patricia) Vereen of Loris, SC, three daughters; Hazel Vereen, Sarah (George) Priest, and Lanora (Darrell) Vereen of Loris, SC. 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 4-7 PM at The D.L. Grate Memorial Chapel in United Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 1 PM at Freemont Baptist Church, Longs SC. Rev. Nathan Vereen, Eulogist.
Internment will follow in Freemont Church cemetery.
